The spokesman for Microsoft said, “We are looking forward to that day that our partners, Nokia, becomes a member of the Microsoft family, we are also so glad to see that the European commission has already approved this transaction unconditionally”. Just a few days ago before the European commission, the U.S. Department of Justice and Energy have also approved this transaction, and expecting to complete the merger at the beginning of next year.

The former CEO of Nokia, Stephen Elop, is expected to return to Microsoft to lead the “expanding equipment team”. This team will be responsible for the Surface tablet, Windows phone, Xbox, etc. Even the recent hype has focused on that Stephen Elop will become the Microsoft CEO candidate to replace Steve Ballmer, but he said “it is unlikely”. Microsoft is anticipated to accomplish the CEO replacement before the end of the year.

Microsoft still has so detailed plan to complete the product line of the Nokia and Asha, and also the concordance of the Microsoft equipment team.
