For a Plug and Play device
1. Access to Device Manager
2. First uninstall the particular device from the Device Manager.
3. After the uninstall, you will be asked to restart the computer, then please proceed with the below steps:
(one)Plug the device first, and then reboot the system, and it will be detected and reinstalled after the reboot.
(Two)You will be given on-screen instruction, follow the instruction to finish the reinstall.
4. If you are not prompted to restart, do the following steps:
(One)Click Scan for Hardware Changes button in the Action menu of Device Manager.
(Two)Finish the process by following the on-screen instruction
For a non-Plug and Play device
1. Access to the Device manager and remove the target device on it.
2. In the details window, right click the top node.
3. Click the option of “Add legacy hardware”.
4. You’ll see the wizard pop-up, click Next in the wizard and follow the given instruction to finish the reinstall.
After you finish the installation, scan and clean the registry for registry redundancy
